ADVANCED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNITION PROGRAM

National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Psychomotor Exam: TBA




This program is constructed for those EMS professional certified at the level of the EMT who are looking to advance their education and skill level in their profession, however it is also open to anyone certified at the level of the EMS, regardless of experience or career path including, fire/rescue personnel, nurses, athletic trainers, safety professionals, and others. Participants who successfully complete this program are eligible to take National Registry of EMT certification exams for both Pennsylvania certification and national certification as an AEMT.


It will be a hybrid program, with deadlines set to have successful progression in the program material. There will 10 in-person dates, all hosted at Pleasant Gap Fire Company, in Pleasant Gap, PA; as well as the first-class being in person to go over all the class policies and expectations. Those in-person classes will consist of laboratory work and testing. All skills will be taught at these laboratory sessions. Finally, this program requires a significant amount of clinical education in both the hospital and field settings.

$1,500.00

  • First National Registry CBE attempt

  • Physical examination(s) (site dependent)
  • Required blood work (site dependent)
  • Drug screen(s) (site dependent)
  • Clearances: Criminal reporting (Act 34), FBI Fingerprinting (Act 114), Child Abuse (Act 33)


*Rescue Hose and Ladder Company is not responsible for any fees associated with getting clearances or hospital visits for bloodwork/vaccinations. 



Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age by the first day of class. 
  • Hold a valid PA EMT Certification
    • This certification must remain active throughout the entire program. If you are set to expire during the program, you are required to maintain it.
  • Completion of the required vaccination series. 
  • Completion of the required clearances. 


 
Preregistration is required, using the link below. You are also required to make a $100 nonrefundable deposit to ensure your seat in the class.  Enrollment is limited and will be open until the class is filled. If the class reaches maximum capacity, students will be added to a waiting list and additional sessions may be added. Rescue Hose and Ladder Training Center reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment, at which time deposit and registration fees would be refunded. Late registration will be accepted if space is available, until the second week of class.

Upon completion of the registration form above, we will email you forms you must complete and bring with you the first day of class.

  • Clinical Requirements (Hospital and Field Time)
  • Any updates requirements as listed by the Pa Dept. of Health, another overseeing organization, or government body.
