Course Outcomes

​Emergency Medical Provider Certification Courses: 

  • Through our certified Pennsylvania Department of Health Training Institute, we are able to offer BLS level certification classes. Classes include Emergency Medical  Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.


​EMS Professional Continuing Education Courses: 

  • Certified Emergency Medical Professionals are required to have a certain amount of continuing education hours to recertify their certifications. We offer a wider variety of course to meet this need. We can travel to you provide this service, if requested and also offer several opportunities at our facility. If you are looking to host a con-ed class at your facility, contact contact listed below. ​ 


Healthcare Provider (BLS Provider) CPR Courses: 

  • ​BLS is for any healthcare provider or first-responder who needs to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. The course provides prehospital and in-facility tracks.


​First Aid & CPR (Lay-Person):

  • The Rescue Hose and Ladder Company offers First-Aid to anyone interested in learning how to help someone in need. We can come to you if you would like to host a class, and we frequently host classes out our station open to the public. 


Firefighting Classes:

  • The Rescue Hose and Ladder Company sits as the host of several firefighting/specialty rescue classes throughout the year. Through our partenered instructors, and our own experienced instructors - there is always a class going on at RHL Training Center to increase

The Rescue Hose and Ladder Company operates a Training Center, capable of hosting EMS, Firefighting, and Specialty Rescue courses. Our team of dedicated instructors are highly qualified in the emergency field, each bringing several years of experience to the classroom. Through our training center we are able to offer BLS certification classes to enable individuals to become certified Emergency Services Providers. We also provide continuing education classes for current providers that are required to renew their certifications. Below is a list course categories.
