The Rescue Hose and Ladder Company Fire Department is a completely volunteer fire company in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, handling approximately 300 calls for service a year.
Our current fleet includes:
- Two Engine-Tanker Fire Apparatus
- Two Rescue Apparatus
- Two Water Rescue Boats
- One Brush Apparatus

Additionally, when our Ambulance Service upgraded their licensure status, all the fire department apparatus were licensed by the PA Department of Health as BLS Squads (formally called QRS vehicles). Their coverage area includes Curwensville Borough, Ferguson Township and Pike Township.
Located at 408-410 Filbert Street, Curwensville, the fire company shares the lower part of the building with the ambulance service. Inside of the station is a newly renovated lounge which is equipped with a small kitchen area, and a 0ffice for EMS workers and members that are students who need a place to study. Rescue Hose and Ladder Company is a wonderful place to make life long friends and help your community.
