EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNITION PROGRAM

August 25th, 2022 - December 13th, 2022


Tuesday and Thursday    6:00PM- 10:00PM

Occasional Saturday Labs 8:00 AM – 5:00PM

Location: Pleasant Gap Fire Company (Pleasant Gap, PA)

National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Psychomotor Exam: TBA




This program is mainly constructed for future EMS personnel, but is an option for anyone who may respond to emergencies, including fire/rescue personnel, nurses, athletic trainers, safety professionals, and others. Participants who successfully complete this program are eligible to take National Registry of EMT certification exams for both Pennsylvania certification and national certification as an EMT.

Program Fees:
$900

This fee includes: 

  • Stethoscope
  • Blood Pressure Cuff
  • Pen Light
  • CPR Certification
  • Text Book
  • Pocket Mask
  • First National Registry CBE attempt

Additional Fees (not covered):

  • Physical examination(s) (site dependent)
  • Required blood work (site dependent)
  • Drug screen(s) (site dependent)
  • Clearances: Criminal reporting (act 34), FBI Fingerprinting (Act 114), Child Abuse (act 33)


 
Preregistration is required, using the link below. You are also required to make a $100 nonrefundable deposit to ensure your seat in the class.  Enrollment is limited and will be open until the class is filled. If the class reaches maximum capacity, students will be added to a waiting list and additional sessions may be added. Rescue Hose and Ladder Training Center reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment, at which time deposit and registration fees would be refunded. Late registration will be accepted if space is available, until the second week of class.

Upon completion of the registration form above, we will email you forms you must complete and bring with you the first day of class. 

Course Requirements:

  • Must complete classroom, skill, and field sessions.
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100 (By required date)
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) 700 (By required date)
  • Hazmat Awareness (EMS Version) (By the required date)
  • 10 patient contacts through approved field site (different requirements may apply for sites)


High School Students must have the following by the first day of class:

  • One letter of parent’s permission.
  • One letter of recommendation from a High School level Science Teacher or Guidance Counselor.
